Gustav Becker Vienna Regulator

SOLD

Vienna Regulators are elite timekeepers; this clock has no shortage of accuracy, blended with beauty.  The case is simple in design and the lightly stained burl wood shows the depth and beauty that nature has to offer in a wood like this.  The movement is marked with the Gustav Becker trademark and will count out the hour and strike the half hour once.  Really a beautiful clock and a very high quality double weight Vienna Regulator.

Antique Cuckoo Clock

$1,850.00

This is a very traditional style for an antique cuckoo clock.  The case is decorated with beautiful leaves, berries and eagle with wings spread proudly.  The numerals are bright and complete and the hands appear to be old and original.  The bellows have been replaced and sound amazing as the animated cuckoo bird pops his head out of the door at the hour and half hour.  The clock is a 30 hour version which is very typical and needs to be wound once a day.

E. Howard and Co #10 Figure Eight Wall Clock

This is the smallest of the five "Figure Eight" clocks with #6 being the largest. The dial still has the E. Howard designation but has wear and is very light but still legible. The clock was likely produced circa 1880 and is in excellent original condition. The weight is marked #10, the pendulum bob retains the pattern on the surface.  The glasses are both original to the clock. The original pendulum tie down is at the bottom of the backboard that hides the weight as it drops during the week. The original and signed movement has been professionally restored and runs beautifully for eight days on a single wind. It appears that the weight has fallen to the bottom of the case at some point in it's life and the result is a crack in the wood. This has been expertly repaired and restored. The dial has some wear marks commensurate with age. The bottom glass has slight loss of paint but you must look hard from the front to notice it. A very rare and exceedingly fine original clock that is difficult to find in this condition. The movement is a timekeeper only and very accurate, this is one of the many reasons this clock is so highly sought after. The chapter ring is 7.25" in diameter.  The case is 34" long.  Overall an outstanding example of a very rare, very fine antique clock. More photos are available upon request.
